Leaking highly Sensitive Information to the Media is Criminal Act.

It is disgraceful to see that some members of Somaliland parliament illegally disclosed highly sensitive and confidential information to the media.  Disclosing confidential documents in the media are unethical and unprofessional as well as been a crime act, therefore tough action should be taken against those who committed this spiteful crime.  Yes based on the constitution the parliament has the right to question any member of the government within controlled and respected environment. But one need to understand inappropriate approaches will not be productive and it will service no one’s inters. What we have seen today is nothing but act of evil and personal attack created by some greedy individuals with the aim to discredit HE Dr. Idris Ibrahim’s achievements.

With all due respect I say to HE Mr. Abdul-rahman Mohammed the Speaker of House Of Parliament “action-action- action” is crucial for this matter because the action you take today will either encourage or discourage similar incidents in the future. I personally believed this is a very serious matter and it shows lack responsibility by some members and for that it must be investigated and those responsible for this illegal leak should be punished with maximum penalties in mind.

One may ask, what are the gains of disclosing such confidential information into media? Obviously no one will benefit, except some immoral individuals who have no long term objective.  These are the same individuals who initially opposed the government trade agreement with Mr. Jabiri and now when they saw the outstanding achievements made by HE Dr. Idris Ibrahim, they trying every way possible to discredit him and his team, believe me even if he attends their meetings they will never be satisfied.

I say to these few individuals, Dr. Idris has previous attended your meetings, but what has happed, instead of fulfilling your duties and asking him your concern questions, some irresponsible members disturbed the meeting and as result you failed to achieve your intended objectives.  For that reason I question the competence these members and whether they truly understood their responsibilities towards the society and if there is any benefit of attending their meetings.  Above all what we have seen in today’s news papers are no longer protected information and perhaps those who leaked the information will now tell us if that helped or hurt their mission.
