Word of the day: The days of my way or the high way are gone. It won’t be your way this time, all the people unanimously want you to go away in a peaceful and dignified way. You came by the ballot, and then people were expecting you to leave by the Ballot.
The cost of liberty is less than the price of repression - Dr. W.E. B. Dubois
The people of this great land had voted for you, but you are paying back that great respect and magnanimity with intransigence, deception, manipulation, divide and rule, corruption and fake extension of your term, your legal term has expired. Somalilanders would like to see you leaving while you are proud of yourself and country and your head high up. President Rayaale stops frustrating the people and leave before the sun sets on you. Stop reading the African dictators disastrous play book.

1. Kulmiye is an emerging preeminent party for change. Most Somalilanders see Kulmiy party as the party of change. Right or wrong that is the thinking of the majority of Somaliland today. President Rayaale, you need to read the writing on the wall. The people of this great land voted for you yestereday without any prejudice. Therefore, you were expected to reciprocate their good will in kind.
2. President Rayaale needs to hear the voice of the people and resign. President Rayaale’s government’s successive presidential election postponements are making him unpopular. The government crackdown on dissent is also a disingenuous undertaking which has to stop.
3. The pirates are an existential threat to all the countries of the Horn of Africa including Somaliland.
4. AIG, Lehman brothers, Bank of America, City Bank, Wells Fargo and other giant banks are considered the major forces behind the real state crash, rampant, predatory lending, foreclosures, the recession and they are the mother of all deceptions.
5. Obama tested his first security victory, when the U.S. navy seals dramatically freed Captain Philips from the predatory pirates. The Obama administration has successfully accomplished the release of Captain Phillips from his five days ordeal in the high seas.
6. The coming so-called UN sponsored donor conference in Brussels is hogwash and a gimmick orchestrated by a failed organization the United Nations. The people of the world and especially the so-called third must see the United Nations and its affiliated organizations as nothing more than an international criminal syndicate. Today many people around the world see the UN as an irrelevant organization that outlived its usefulness.
7. The great leaders from Illinois, Lincoln, Adlai and Obama
8. The war in Afghanistan is a civil and tribal war; it is a continuation of a long ongoing tribal, ethnic and regional rivalry. NATO forces alone can’t resolve this problem
Kulmiye is emerging as a preeminent, tolerant majority party of peace, the rule of law and democracy. On 04/13/09, thousands of peaceful Kulmiye supporters came together in Hargesia and Berbera. Kulmiye supporters were discplined and no single incident happened there. President Rayaale, the people of this country supported you, they voted for you, and it is high time you reciprocate that good will and magnanimity. Kulmiye needs to keep the good work of agitating for democracy and the rule of law.
1. President Raayaale, the best course for you at this point is to resign. There is no other scenario through which you can you can save your name and survive. The successive postponement of the presidential elections has stretched peoples’ patients to the limit. The president has already exhausted the public good will. He frustrated and disappointed the people who voted for him yesterday. Somalilanders are increasingly growing weary and suspicious of the president’s tactics and actions. Moreover, the government crack down on all kinds of dissent is a disingenuous undertaking which has to stop.
2. For the last several years pirates operating out the political vacuum called Somalia has kidnapped more than 100 ships and got nearly 80 million dollars of ransom money. Last week the pirate’s easy money extortion racket turned sour as U.S. navy seals played a hard ball with them. By the time the operation was over three pirates were dead and Captain Phillips was rescued. The threats of the pirates must be confronted and combated. They are a serious threat to both the regional stability and international peace. This new day John silver’s must be stopped. One way of doing that is helping the Somaliland navy. The international community must help the Somaliland navy who were already fighting the pirates for a long time. That is why there was less pirate activity in the Gulf of Somaliland.
3. Capitalism is going through unprecedented seismic changes. It will be never being the same. People are losing their trust with the CEOs of huge American conglomerates such as Wall Street, insurance giants, big mortgage banks and others in the American credit industry. The government should not have to bailout these deceptive companies such as Lehman brothers, AIG, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. These companies received so much public money and they are still not giving credit to the American people. The government needs to regulate these out of control companies and financial institutions. They are still reportedly giving themselves huge bonus money. The Obama administration has yet to give the American people some kind of a bailout. So far most of the Tax payer money went to the same people who were responsible of the economical meltdown in the U.S. in the first place. In order to justify the huge amount of public money given to these private institutions, both the Bush and Obama administrations used the slogan which goes along the lines that the big financial companies were too big to fail. That was an erroneous slogan. That was a lame excuse to give such an astronomical amounts of money to deceptive and irresponsible companies.
4. President Obama has tested his foreign security victory when the US navy killed three pirates and liberated the American sea captain, Captain Phillips from a five days ordeal. In a statement president Obama thanked the United States Navy.
5. The so-called international donor conference in Brussels is a sham gathering, which is another attempt by the UN to milk few more dollars from a world in recession. For the last 20 years these UN Mafioso group were behind the foreign made outfits, masquerading as governments that have destroyed Somalia (Italian Somaliland). In all those attempts the United Nations failed and came out empty handed. Despite its failure in Somalia they keep on behaving as if they are a credible and a genuine organization. This is nothing but another extortion scheme to extract few dollars from a world beset by a Somalia fatigue and an economical stagnation. They are part of the problem and not part of the solution. For the last twenty years they are either are grooming charlatans as genuine leaders for Somalia (Italian Somaliland) or releasing erroneous and rosy statements regarding Somalia. They are illegitimate bureacrats running around the world and telling the world, they are helping the people Somalia. They are not helping the people of Somalia; they are helping their bottomless pockets. The UN has turned into an extortion racket that feasts on peoples’ misery.
6. Senator Adlai Stevenson, President Abraham Lincoln and president Obama are the sons of the state of Illinois. These great leaders and historical figures, who have already left and will still leave an indelible mark on the history of the state of Illinois, and the United States of America for that matter. Abraham Lincoln was one the greater presidents the United States have ever seen. He emancipated the slaves and at the same time won the civil war. Adlai Stevenson was another great Illinois statesman. He was also great senator from the state of Illinois. Adlai Stevenson was a beloved son of the land of Lincoln. He ran for the president of the United States twice in 1952 and 1956; both times, he lost to Dwight Eisenhower. The latter was a World War II and Korean War hero. He was well-liked by the people of the United States.
Illinois is a great state in the Union of the United States. As a man who came from nowhere, Lincoln became the president of the United States at a very turbulent time, in the history of this experiment called the United States of America. Lincoln originally came from the state of Kentucky, but in most of his formative and productive years, he lives in spring field, Illinois. He became a lawyer and his upward mobility was unprecedented for a man from very humble beginnings. He born in a log house in rural Kentucky. Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States. He was a man who moved the United States out of a huge crisis. He ended the civil war and the great Union prevailed over the insurgent confederate states of America, led by Stonewall Jackson and a great a general called Robert E. Lee. He formulated the famous and history changing emancipation proclamation in 1965. He eventually was assassinated by a confederate sympathizer in the Ford Theater in Washington D.C. Many Americans see him as the man who saved the Union and set the United States in a new course of reconstruction, and rapid industrialization. He also set the tone for the construction of one the most developed, industrialized, and the largest economies the world has ever seen.
At the beginning of the 19th century the United States has helped the declining European colonial powers win World War I. World War II was also won with the help of United States military and economical might. The greatness of the state of Illinois didn’t stop there; again in 2008, it has thrown another world sensation called Baraka Obama into the fray. This instant world celebrity has further elevated the image of the state of Illinois. The sudden and an unexpected rise of Obama has further enhanced the stature of the state of Illinois, when former Senator Obama became the 44 president of the United States. The Obama phenomena is still an unfolding one. Many people in the United States and around the world are still trying to understand the rapid rise of Obama, and his eventual winning of the presidency of the United States. Again the state of Illinois will get the credit of another phenomenal son taking the mantle of the most power country in the history of mankind.
7. The war in Afghanistan is a complex war which has ethnic and regional dimensions. The war today is the continuation of 1979 war when General Nuur Mohamed Taraqi was toppled by the then Soviet Union started and replaced with Hafidah leh Amin. The country was in a continuous state of war for almost 30 years. This war has no military solution. A government cannot imposed on the people of Afghanistan. No matter how much western backing it has, no government can take root in Afghanistan without the full consent of the people of that country. The war of Afghanistan is a constant conflict between the majority Bashtuuns, and minority Tajiks, Uzbeks and Hizara. This is a conflict which is the amalgamation of ethnic, religious, and regional dimensions. On top of that there is a foreign intervention component encampsing Pakistan, Iran, the west, the Gulf Arab Sheikhdoms and Russia. Anybody who thinks few thousand NATO forces will take care of Afghanistan must be dreaming. Moreover, all the feuding Afghans and especially the Bashtuuns are resentful of the foreigners meddling in the affairs of their country for so long.
I would sign out the piece with a freedom quote with the preeminent civil rights leader in the 19th century, Frederick Douglas:
Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet deprecate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning; they want the ocean without the roar of its many waters. The struggle may be a moral one, or it may be a physical one, or it may be both. But it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand; it never has and it never will”. Frederick Douglas, 1857
