Fact VS Fiction: Bashing Ali Sheikh Mohamed’s Adopted Childen - By Nimco Ahmed

Confession and contradiction run through some people’s blood. Terming this whistle blow as ‘character assassination and downright defamation’ to Mr Sinlenyo because his forthcoming presidential election is around the corner. Mohamoud, you sounded very confused and had difficulty to differentiate what is fact from what is fiction. Your article and argument is completely and utterly out of context and with highest contradiction from left, right and centre. Your confusion has started where you are not taking into account the factuality of this issue, Engineer Ali Jirde and his children were harassed, threaten to be separated from each other, displaced to other people’s care and kicked out of their house, called bastard/Garac for more than a year in regular basis behind closed doors, until they were dragged into Civil Court where there were judges, juries, accusers, defendant and observers. i.e this case only came into the public eyes when it reached to the Court and thanks to Dimbiil.

Mohamoud you supported your augment as you say that Amino is ‘a respected married woman, a mother and grandmother and that, is un-Somali, un-Islamic, unethical and unprofessional no matter from what perspective one looks at it’… You are a father and perhaps grandfather by now, until today in Buuhodle it has been reported that you are disparaging and badmouthing the mother of your own children who divorced you more than 30 years ago. It has been reported that you extended your ill-mannered behaviour to your brother’s white wife that you hardly see her. Your ex-wife straggled to bring up her children on her own as you failed to support her.

People who knows you described you as failure and ‘empty man’ in every form and shape and that well glittered when you have the audacity to talk about what is un-Somali, un-Islamic unethical and unprofessional!! Very rich coming from the man whose daily life dominated by cursing two women that has nothing to do with him. Should not you supposed to apply what you are arguing to yourself first rather than jumping into the wagon. Your action is nothing but desperation in order to be closer to grandiosity.

The lady with all the grandiose qualities that you mentioned kept terrorizing a very vulnerable children and over 90 years old man in the time they were mostly needed for support and they aware endured with worst bereavement. Neither myself nor many people in this world sees Amino’s act as Somali/Islamic value or ethical at all and in that respect she failed as mother, grandmother, sister, aunt forget about first lady. Before a lady becomes mother of nation she should have compassion and mother those needed and near to her. Engineer Ali and his children were pressure cooked by her more than a year prior to their Court ordeal, it is a fact.

Mohamoud your contradiction increased when say ‘Silanyo only comes to the picture to the extent that he is married to a member of the Jirde dynasty but otherwise he is completely out of the loop and has nothing to do.’ Speaking in the line of Somali culture, tradition, Islamism and respect? Should a Somali man married woman, takes his wife to his house and had respect for the family that he married that woman from. Engineer Ali himself said ‘I brought her up; educated her; wedded her; made her house, settled her and supported her all along; I do know what more she wants from me’?

In your opinion, where is Mr. Silanyo’s role as a husband? On one hand you are saying ‘he has had nothing do with mess what his wife has created, on the other hand you are saying ‘The two would make an outstanding double unlike any other in Somali political history’. Your argument does not add up, the man who has no control over his wife or in his own house surely won’t have a control to lead a chaotic country and his presidential will be nothing but watering the mud, causing more misery and more worst introducing another “Winnie Mandela” to world, after all your first lady looks alike much with Winnie Mandela.

You complete lost plot and contradict yourself as moved talking about adoption. You said ‘Adoption is a western practice and not one in line with Islamic Sharia law or Somali traditions….,But such adoption, meaning guardianship, does not confer any legal parental right or entitle legal inheritance’. The people who described you as ‘empty man’ nailed it. You are completely clueless what morality, dignity, integrity, generosity, value and respect is all about, whatever his state of mind or his age is, Engineer Ali Jirde is alive, and in my opinion, no one (including yourself) has rights to talk about or explain the inheritance of his wealth a man who is alive. That is nasty, un-Islamic and unethical.

Anybody with faith should not be thinking in that manner and at the end of day no one knows who is going to die first or who is inheriting who, because he is over 90 years old it does not mean that he is nearer to death than anyone else. The noble man who brought up 3 children as his own and youngest of this children is I ½ years old, despite his age, delicate health and state of mind I got astonished the courage and humanity that God has granted him, when I spoke to him about the little boy this is his own words ‘my son (meaning 1 ½) is not going anywhere he is going to stay with me and going to grow up in his own house’. Only frugal and low lifers have the nerve to describe his dignified and kindness work as ‘one not in line with Islamic Sharia law or Somali traditions’.

Speaking about western culture, let me refreshed your memory with view points. I need you to explain to me and the whole world. Where is the Somali household that is free from western culture today. Take an example for yourself and Amino. Amino came to Europe in UK in 1960s and educated for the health professional you mention in your article with help of Engineer Ali. Then she moved back to UK in 1980s and immigrated as asylum seeker, in my fact fading I learned that nearly 18 years Amino was working British Refugee Council. Amino have 5 children and all her children are educated in UK and her son is lawyer working in the UN.

Yourself Mohamoud I learned that you lived in UK more than 40 years and still London is your permanent address and once before I read an article that wrote, where you stated that you have worked for the BBC World Service more than 25 years. Both organizations that you and Amimo had worked have very strong ethical value when it comes human rights and professional code of conduct in civil society, both of yourself and Amino’s family are British Citizen. So, I can argue that both yourself and Silenyo’s family are more British than the Somali Nationalities that you are both using, abusing. It is fact that many so-called Somalis/European liquidizers made their base around Europe and place one leg stirred one leg in Africa/Somali to stir, abuse, disrespect and commit atrocity against the scrawny society.

If such a people got away with murder in the past, I am glad that their days are numbered because the world is getting smaller by the minute and what is nasty, illegal and against humanity in one country, is same in all over the world, in every culture and every religion. For your information in my fact finding I learned that Engineer Ali Jirde and his two older children are European Citizen too and had they choose to bring their case back to Europe they got the full support of the international community. I am sure Amino could do with your support as her Sharia Law expert.

You said in your article ‘What shocked me is not so much that some Somalis will stoop so low as to denigrate Siilaanyo’s image and integrity. After all, he is used to be subjected to baseless and gratuitous attacks as a political leader.’ Did you add the list of the baseless attackers to yourself starting from the time you were working in the BBC and recently in Boohoodle. For your information Somalia/Somaliland forth coming election or politics is off the interest of many people like me, for a very simple reason, if the existing authorities is bad the one coming won’t make any better, let alone the man who was lining up for the last 30 years and neither he is winning nor he is leaving the platform in order others to win.

Talking about character assignation, your friend holds the remedy in his own hands and lets everything go its own way, simply through cowardice that is an axiom. My motives are one as long as I live and it is for the support of those who are in need.
