Silanyo’s Whining to Dr. Frazier is Indicative of a Larger Slump
Quest for Somaliland recognition is one of the most important benchmark in the policy of the incumbent government, supported by its people and are together struggling for in unison. In a putative theory, among Somalilanders, regarding the recognition of SL states: that every S.lander MUST escot, entertain and champion this noble cause.
Diaspora’s as well as the incumbent government are extraordinarily working hard to attract at least world community attention to the cause. It is a call to duty for all. However, when a leader of the largest opposition party, at a time when the issue has perked up among the world community, in his twisted mind, relegated it to a lesser meaning and preferred rather vexed in whining to Dr. Frazier makes all that his actions are not only gossip-worthy but an indicative of larger slump in his belief in the recognition issue.
One may wonder if it is that possible that the tough slog for winning the highest chair condemns Silanyo to such stupid behavior, turning even him into idiot? Or has he done the whining deliberately as his critics have it, that he would rather discourage anyone feeling sympathy to SL recognition while President Rayale is at the helm. While another talk about him say that he is lately suffering from psychological “Cognitive dissonance” syndrome resulted from the gathering momentum by Kulmiye new blood that is geared up to tamp down his support nomination for his party’s presidential candidate and compounded by his ineffectiveness in resolving his Kulmiye party members brawl for vice-president nomination, leaving the party cohesion hostage to the implacable, rubble rouser, and out-dated colonel Muse Bixi, for the upcoming election.
What ever the case may be, Silanyo has revealed to us (Somalilanders) his true face hidden behind his empathetic and façade one. He is like steaks in need of more grill time to fix to the taste of post-war Somaliland. A wise person once said: “A fool learns from his experience. An intelligent person learns from the experience of others”. To which one could add: “ And an idiot does not even learn from his own experience”. But I learned in my life: from the time the public embraces specific issue as a unifying factor, the victory is assured.
Silanyo must be told that: seeking primal therapy from SL internal affairs (good or bad) is the last thing any foreign official or country could and would provide remedy for. And he should also stop his atavistic leadership style because leading ragtag militia is no match to leading a nation.
