Democracy is the only way out to your problems. Trust democracy - work hard to win parliament seats next election.

Before I get into bottom-line, I believe you don’t support Somaliland cause as many Awdalites Diaspora do or may be MAJEERTEEN who is trying to create strife between Somalilanders. The fact is, you don’t understand or may be don’t care the interest of Gadabursi in Somaliland. Dear friend, tribalism is cureless illness and I feel sorry for you.

You talked about democracy and share of Gadabursi in Somaliland Parliament and even that of failed Somalia. Let me tell you my friend, Democracy teaches us majority and minority in politics and power sharing, which means Gadabursi gets what he deserves in power sharing. Somaliland today passed tribalism era, and we are winning the parliament and presidential seats only through election, so instead of talking about less number of Gadabursi MPs in the parliament, My friend tell your Gadabursi followers to stop propaganda against Somaliland recognition and support of Abdullah-yey federalism and come back to home - Somaliland - so they may support you to win extra seats in the parliament.  

MPs come through free and fair election and my friend you should understand, when it comes to election tribalism will not help u – as president Riyale won top post against Isaac candidates in history of Gadabursi in Somaliland and Somalia.

I do agree with you that Boorame hosted first peace conference of Somaliland, its great because the people of Boorame love peace. This does not mean that entire Gadabursi reinstated peace in Somaliland instead you should know that all Somaliland tribes coordinated on the peace establishments in Somaliland. Somalilanders selected Boorame venue for the conference because it was most stable city in Somaliland, and people of Boorame welcomed the initiative.  So thanks to you for mistranslating the point………..

My friend Gadabursi is not in an unfortunate position in Somaliland but won milestone goal in politics. Gadabursi won trust of the people of Somaliland after they voted for their son (Riyale Kahin) to decide Somaliland future. Today, the son of Awdal is making history and you should be supportive to him instead of spreading tribalism that may lead him to loose next election. Riyale him self told the world that he is from minority and won the top post through democracy. Today you are on top post of the nation but don’t disgrace the public who trusted you by spreading tribe propaganda.

My friend, recognition of Somaliland by international community doesn’t need tribe support it needs support of entire Somaliland community. Today you can see very large part of Gadabursi (mostly Diaspora) campaign against Somaliland and support failed federalism of Abdullah-yey. I don’t know whether you are member of these illogic citizens or no… but reality is that if Gadabursi goes into Somalia, then will not get neither president nor more then two parliament seats.

Today, Somaliland proved that everybody can come to parliament or presidential seat through election nothing more or less, so instead of criticizing Isaac tribe please unite your Gadabursi tribesmen and tell them to trust their country – Somaliland – instead of barking around in support of failed Somalia. Somaliland welcomes every one of its citizens regardless of the tribe.

In your article, I can see you use a MAJEERTEEN proverb that doubts me that you are MAJEERTEEN trying to hide in Gadabursi shirt. Somalilanders are brothers and we solve our problems through democracy, so my friend trust democracy and Insha Allah I will personally challenge you in next election.

In final word, in 1960 – may be you are too young to remember – United Somalilanders joined South Somalia and every Somaliland tribe had representative in the delegation to Mogadishu. We threw our independence of 26th June 1960 into uncertain future with ignorant Southerners and today we will be together to decide our destiny. Somaliland passed tribe’s era my friend; we are today democratic and if we don’t respect our selves as democratic then nobody else will do.

Isaac alone cannot bargain Somaliland with Somalia because Somaliland is asset of 3.5 million people around the world. Even no other tribe will be allowed to sell Somaliland to others. Somaliland is the decision of its citizens and will continue independent regardless of obstacles we are facing from some countries in the world.

Dear friend, unite Gadabursi under one umbrella and then you can see their power shinning in Somaliland Parliament through democracy. Call your citizens who are barking around against Somaliland like Prof. Samatar and his friends.  We know today that Gadabursi has highest percentage of Anti-Somaliland figure between Somaliland tribes except rebellious Dhulbahante who are leading war in their own cities “Laba maroodi dii hirdamaan doogaa madha”. So work on reducing such percentage and make sure to win votes of Anti-Somaliland Gadabursi members to reach the parliament.

No body can stop Somaliland dream of independence, u should know neither Gadabursi nor Isaac will be able to take one side decision on Somaliland. Somaliland is a nation today and nobody will be allowed to hijack it.  My friend Somaliland proverb says “Hanqararac lug qudha uma dhutiyo” so is Somaliland. If u think that you can play card of Gadabursi to win parliament seats then you are dreaming and cheating your self, only through fair and free election.

Allah Bless Somaliland ……… we all stand united from Awdel to Sool.
