sorry for wasting all that water

Dear Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, Sudan, Chad and any other countries experiencing a drought right now. I apologize for my luxurious bath, my hour long lingering in the bathtub, with the hot water slowly yet constantly running

to replace the water lost through that little thing some plumber invented only in order to vex me during my hot baths. I apologize for how much I enjoy the splashing around in the water that will only go down the drain… not to water

any crops… not to nourish any thirsty children… not to give a parched goat another day to live. No this water was only for my pleasure, washing the hair and the naughty bits. Now, consider, I don’t apologize in the sense that I

actually feel guilty or that I considered a short shower or even worse, sending my water to the starving children in china… but more in the grand kharmic scheme of things. Sorry about wasting all that precious water.
